Description | Avant Technology will receive a $4.83 million grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund to expand its manufacturing facility in Pharr. The expansion is expected to create 250 jobs and generate more than $20 million in capital investment. The project aims to bring advanced manufacturing jobs to the Rio Grande Valley and strengthen Texas' role in the semiconductor supply chain. Avant Technology plans to produce more complex semiconductor components for enterprise, automotive, and industrial markets. The expansion includes a partnership with South Texas College to provide students hands-on training with semiconductor electronics assembly and advanced manufacturing equipment. |
