Description
Description | Throughout Europe activities combining Arts & Wellbeing are growing and many artists expand their professional practice to the health and wellbeing sector. With rising interest for arts contributions to the health and wellbeing, yet the establishment of cross-sectoral practices is an ongoing debate: How can the collaboration between the sectors be organized in a sustainable way enabling livelihoods and continuity of work? AWAKE project contributes to the establishment of arts & wellbeing practices by supporting skill-building and highlighting the entrepreneurial potentials and available business models. Project's primary aim is to accelerate the arts & wellbeing practitioner’s skills and capacity to manage and promote their services, and create means for entrepreneurial and business possibilities in the sector. AWAKE raises awareness about the arts & wellbeing practise from the perspective of work and livelihoods, and raises awareness about the access and entry points that exist to the health sector, and how artists can reach them. AWAKE benchmarks the already existing arts & wellbeing business model cases (10) in Europe and shares the best practices (5) in an online case-book format. The masterclasses (3) are arranged online to explore the entrepreneurial possibilities and online bootcamp event (1) gathers arts & wellbeing practitioners to accelerate their own service and entrepreneurial approaches and build new transnational peer networks. The roundtable discussions (2) elaborates issues of entry and access in a cross-sectorial setting. Through all its activities AWAKE produces content for an in-depth learning experience made widely accessible for arts & wellbeing practitioners around Europe, and facilitates forward the professionalization of the arts & wellbeing sector, as one strand of future livelihoods. The project's contents and communication activities reach 50 000 - 100 000 people in total. |
