Description | In Sep 2011, a local private company Tianhua Sunshine New Energy Co. Ltd. signed an agreement with Awati County Government to build and operate a 300MW solar power plant in Awati County, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The total investment was about US$ 96.84 million (RMB 6 billion). Construction would commence in 2011 and be finished in 2016. Construction and operation of the plant was by Xinjiang Jiasheng Sunshine Wind Power Tech Co. Ltd. All required approvals were cleared in Feb 2012. First phase of the plant actually commenced in December 2012. Its capacity was 20 MW and the total investment was US$ 41.96 million (RMB 260 million). Construction of phase was finished in Dec 2013. Tianhua Sunshine had a 100% stake in the project. |
