Ayen Aksu Wind Farm

Aksu Temiz Enerji was planning the development of the 72 MW Aksu wind farm, near Kayseri, Central Turkey. The project was to comprise 36 turbines of 2 MW, producing an annual 205 GWh. Aksu Temiz Enerji was a subsidiary of Ayen Enerji, owned by Aydiner Insaat. Ayen Enerji acquired 70% of Aksu Temiz Enerji early-2011. The project consisted of 36 turbines of 2MW each, producing 235GWh annually. The project was expected for commissioning in late-2011. Equipment was to be supplied by Vestas, under a contract announced in May 2011. The developer received a 49 year production license in November 2007. Total costs were unkown as of October 2011. However, Turkish Industrial Development Bank TSKB agreed in May 2011 to finance EUR67 million ($89.1 million) in loans to Ayen Enerji for the project. Due to lack of data, total cost of $89.1 million was adopted here. The project was commissioned in March 2012.
