Description | The Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil field project involves the production of oil and gas from the Azeri, Chirag, and Guneshli fields. The project is operated by bp with participation from SOCAR, MOL, INPEX, ExxonMobil, TPAO, ITOCHU, and ONGC Videsh. Oil produced is transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline and the Western Export Pipeline through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye. Preparations are underway for a new phase involving production from a newly discovered oil reservoir in the deep layers of the ACG, with production scheduled to begin in September 2026. |
