Azure Power's Chhattisgarh Solar Plant in Durg is a 30MW facility. The project will be developed in three quick phases of 10MW of Solar Power generation each. Azure Power is an Independent Power Producer operating in India with various projects across the country. The contract for the project was awarded under the Chhattisgarh State Solar Energy Policy 2012-2017. Azure Power entered into a 25yr agreement with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company. Azure Power's Chhattisgarh Solar Plant reached financial closure in May 2015. Of the $33.38m USD projected costs, $8.38m USD will be finance through equity (Azure Power) and $25m USD will be debt financed (Yes Bank). The Solar Power Plant is expect to be fully operational by the end of 2015.
