Azure Power Rooftop (GenCo) Private Limited (‘Azureroof” or the “Company”) is a 100% subsidiary owned by IFC’s existing client Azure Power Global Limited (Azure or the Sponsor). Azure is a leading solar power company in India with a track record of robust execution and strong growth.  Azure has in-house capacity to undertake engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) as well as operations & maintenance (O&M) services for all its solar power plants.Azureroof proposes to scale up its portfolio of rooftop and small scale ground mounted solar projects designed, installed and operated for its commercial and industrial (C&I) as well as government clients across India (the “Project”).  The portfolio of rooftop and small scale ground mounted solar projects is expected to have a cumulative capacity of 200MW.   The proposed IFC investment involves a debt financing to the Company and mobilization of senior loans.  IFC loan disbursement to individual projects will be as and when individual power purchase agreements (PPAs) are signed as per predefined and mutually agreed criteria.
