Description | Aerogie Group, part of Aerogie.plus Solutions AG (Switzerland) was planning the development of the 6 MW Ba Ria Vung Tau wind farm, on a build-own-transfer (BOT) basis, Con Dau island, Ba Ria province. The contract was for 25 years. The 6 MW project was announced to be expanded to 7.5 MW in the future. Initial approval was given for the project in April 2007 and the plant was commissioned in 2010. Financial Closure data was unknown, but January 2009 was entered here based on 2010 commissioning. The plant was designed with two systems: wind turbines and diesel turbines. Construction started in early 2009. The project signed a PPA with the local authorities, at 20 USD cents per kWh. Total cost was estimated at $20-25 million dollars. Sponsor needs to be added |
