Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with Babu Jagjeevan Ram Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanthi Project - Phase-II with a ticket size of 15028 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project UttarandhraSujalaSravanthi Phase II Under Phase-II, water will be further lifted 2nd stage lifting from Pappayyapalem village in Anakapalli District and conveyed up to Gadigedda Reservoir in Vizianagaram District through gravity and main canal. From this canal system, water will be further lifted into four reservoirs to be formed to supplement water during non-flood days This project stabilises 1.95 lakh acres inAnakapalii District and Visakhapatnam district and 4.75 lakh acres in Vizianagaram district,Srikakulam District and Manyam Parvathipuram District respectively. In addition to this it also facilitates the supply of drinking water to enroute villages.
