Description | Bagistas 140 MW hydro power plant is situated at Bagistas, East of Turkey. This plant was to generate 500 GWh per year. The sponsor of the project was IC Ictas Enerji Group, wholly owned subsidiary of IC Holding[Turkey]. IC Ictas held license for Bagistas dam and hydroelectric power plant for 49 years until 2059 to build, rehabilitate, operate, and transfer the plant. In December 2010, this project reached financial closure by securing a US$253 million loan from Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi A.S and Vakifbank. The loan would mature on over a period of 13 years. |
