Description | The project involves the development, construction and operation of 105 MW Bajgora wind farm in n a mountainous area near Mitrovica, northern Kosovo. The energy will be transferred to KOSTT, the state-owned transmission company. The SPV Sowi Kosovo LLC is majority-owned and controlled by Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd, alongside its German and Kosovan partners. The total project cost is $128.6 million. EBRD approved a loan of EUR 58 million ($64.3 million), which represents half of the total required financing for the project. The rest of the financing is provided by Erste Group Bank and NLB Bank, both covered by the German export credit agency Euler Hermes. Financial close was reached on 11 December 2019.
