Description | The Bakken East Pipeline is a planned natural gas pipeline by WBI Energy intended to move about 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day from McKenzie County to the eastern half of North Dakota. The pipeline is expected to run approximately 420 miles from the Watford City area to near Mapleton and aims to be in service by the end of 2030. The North Dakota Industrial Commission approved an agreement to commit up to $500 million over 10 years to support the project by purchasing a share of the pipeline's transport capacity. |
