Description | Financial close of the project was in 2016. The Baling biomass plant is located in Baling, Kedah in Malaysia. The facility has 2MW of generation capacity and uses palm oil milleffluent (POME) in a biogas capture plant, converting it to electricity using biogas engine generators. The sole sponsor of the project is Fitters Diversified Berhad. The facility has a 16-year power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhand to supply electricity to the national grid.
