Two agencies were initially hired to process 14 lakh metric tonnes of legacy waste within four months starting February 2025, but they treated only 1.5 lakh MT from March 24 to June 30. The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) has issued notices to debar these agencies due to inadequate progress and has proposed hiring three new agencies to treat the remaining waste. The landfill contains 11 lakh MT of accumulated waste, with fresh waste also being transported daily from Gurgaon and Faridabad. |
