Bane NOR launches digital track monitoring system

Norway’s Bane NOR will be utilising sensor monitoring to improve maintenance predictability and thereby reduce stoppages and increase punctuality. To that end, it has launched a digital track monitoring system and accompanying app, which will communicate sensor data insights and signal the need for measures. The app utilises data from track components and other systems that interact with the trains. This data offers insight into track conditions and the possible need for maintenance or other work.
