Description | Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) officials visited the site of an upcoming residential and commercial project in Baner to evaluate additional steps to keep dust and noise levels within prescribed limits as directed by the National Green Tribunal (NGT). Air quality and noise monitoring stations were installed to monitor the site for 24 hours. The project proponent was asked to take measures to reduce dust and noise levels and has implemented these measures. The MPCB will decide on Environmental Damage Compensation (EDC) for any past violations after review. |
