The ten-story building, originally opened in 1982 and built for Liberty National Bank, has 189,000 sq.ft. of space with about 86,000 sq.ft. currently vacant. The conversion will retain the top floor as office space and relocate existing tenants. The project is partially funded through historic preservation tax credits, as the building is being listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places. The conversion aims to revitalize downtown Buffalo by increasing residential presence and creating a vibrant 24-7 neighborhood. |
