Description | Bao Loc VRG JSC was planning the development of the 24.5MW Bao Loc Hydropower Plant, Bao Lam and Di Linh districts, Lam Dong province. The project was expected to generate 106,501.5 MWh annually, to be supplied to the national grid via a 110kV transmission line at a load factor of 49.6%. The project was to consist of two Vertical Shaft Francis turbines of 12.63MW each and two vertical acis suspended generators of 12.25MW each. Commissioning was expected for 2012. The feasibility study was completed in August 2009 and aproved in November 2009. The EIA was approved in December 2009. The equipment supply contract was signed in July 2010. Electricity tariff was VND 681 per kWh ($0.0327 per kWh). The debt/equity ratio was 55/45. Total investment was estimated at VND 604,850 million ($29.0 million). Total debt was VND 332.668 million, total equity was VND 272,183 million. WACC was 12.17%. The project also received a tax break, of 0% until year 6, 12.5% for the following 9 years and 25% after that. Operational life was expected at 30 years. CERs were sold at EUR10 ($13.1).
