Description

Description	The Baoding-Tianjin Expressway project was a joint venture between Hong Kong based Road King Infrastructure Ltd. and the state-owned Hebei Provincial Expressway Development Company (HPEDC) which was to own and operate the 105 km (65 mile) toll road for a period of 30 years. Road King was to have a 40% interest in the toll collection as well as the operation rights of the project in Hebei Province. In September 2003, Road King contributed a total 960 million yuan (US$115.9 million) in cash to the JV. For the equity stake, it paid 384 million yuan (US$46.4 million). It also contributed 576 million yuan (US$69.5 million) in the form of a shareholder's loan to the JV. HPEDC constructed the highway itself for the remaining 60 percent share. The total cost of the project was 2.4 billion yuan (US$290 million). None None
