Description | In April 2016, a local private company Anhui Shengyun Machinery Company Limited signed a Build Operate Transfer (BOT) contract with the Donghe District Government of Baotou City to finance, build and operate a solid waste incineration power plant in Donghe District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The investment in the first phase of the project was US$ 63.22 million (RMB 420 million) and Shengyun had a 100% stake in it. The concession term was 30 years on top of 20 months of construction. The first phase of the plant could process 800 tons of solid waste per day. Construction commenced on October 28, 2016. The power generation capacity of the plant (phase I) was not reported. Baotou Donghe Shengyun Environmental Protection Power Company Limited, a special purpose vehicle was established to implement the project. |
