The FZ funding loan will support an inter-company training center in the city of Baotou in order to support vocational training and further education in the province of Inner Mongolia. The funding loan of up to 37 million euros will mainly finance the equipment of the training center with modern teaching aids (teaching materials and equipment). In addition, a small amount will be used to design and implement a business start-up center. The total project amounts to around 112 million euros. The goals of the project are to improve the training capacities of the neighboring vocational schools and the quality of the training. This means that the vocational students at the training center should learn special technical skills that modern industrial companies now need. In addition, local companies will offer further training courses for their employees so that they remain constantly familiar with technical innovations. Furthermore, the city is pursuing the project to qualify the unemployed and people at risk of unemployment, especially from the rural areas around Baotou, in order to offer them future prospects.
