Information Water Resources-MP has come up with Bargi Diversion Project Phase - III [km. 104 to km 154] with a ticket size of 1399.7 INR Crores. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. Bargi Diversion Project is a major Trans-Valley Project situated in Jabalpur District of M.P. State. The project provides for diversion of Narmada water through right bank canal off taking from right Bank of Rani Awanti Bai Lodhi Sagar [Bargi Dam] to Sone basin and Sone basin to Tons basin in Rewa and Satna distt of M. P. In addition, the project envisages for water supply for drinking and industrial use for Jabalpur city and Katni town. The Bargi reservoir with Gross capacity of 3920 MCM supplies for utilization of 2046 MCM of water into the Bargi Diversion Project. Bargi Diversion Project Phase-III covers the right bank canal from 104 km to 154 km. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 895.996crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 240.74 crore CA released upto April 2023- 277.16 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till April 2023- Rs 441.75 crore Physical progress- 70.74 percentage Financial Progress- 109.88 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 41775Ha Irrigation Potential created till April 2023- 3000 Ha Projected Date of Completion-21 July 2025
