Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. Bargi Diversion Project is a major Trans-Valley Project situated in Jabalpur District of M.P. State. The project provides for diversion of Narmada water through right bank canal off taking from right Bank of Rani Awanti Bai Lodhi Sagar [Bargi Dam] to Sone basin and son basin to Tons basin in Rewa and Satna distt of M. P. In addition, the project envisages for water supply for drinking and industrial use for Jabalpur city and Katni town. The Bargi reservoir with Gross capacity of 3920 MCM supplies for utilization of 2046 MCM of water into the Bargi Diversion Project. Bargi Diversion Project Phase-IV covers the right bank canal from 154 km to 197 km. Main distributaries of Phase-IV Satna branch canal having length of 55 km, Rewa branch canal of length 24 km. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY-AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 407.37 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 145.869 crore CA released since 2016 till October 2021- 11.28 crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021- Rs 22.00 crore Physical progress- 64.80 percentage Financial Progress- 5.05 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 34000 Ha Irrigation Potential created till October 2021- 10730 Ha Projected Date of Completion- March 2024
