Description | Barrie Stadium is a purpose-built soccer venue developed through a partnership of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, MLS Next Pro, the City of Barrie, and Barrie Stadium Group. It will serve as the new home for Toronto FC II, Toronto FC's farm team, relocating from York University's York Lions Stadium starting with the 2028-2029 season. The stadium will feature a fully covered grandstand, executive suites, a premier club lounge, field-side seating, and a rooftop terrace overlooking Kempenfelt Bay. It will have a permanent seating capacity of 3,500 for soccer, expandable to over 6,500 for sporting events and up to 8,500 for concerts. The venue will also host concerts, festivals, community events, and other sports such as rugby and lacrosse. A 450-space surface parking lot will support visitors. The site is located at 125 Dunlop Street West, Barrie, on the western edge of Downtown Barrie, near local transit and approximately 2km north of Allandale Waterfront GO station. |
