Barrio Anita Casitas Affordable Housing Project

planned

The Barrio Anita Casitas project plans to build six single-family affordable homes on four vacant parcels along North Contzen Avenue in Tucson's Barrio Anita neighborhood. The homes will be sold to low- and moderate-income families through the Pima County Community Land Trust to keep housing affordable long-term. The design reflects Sonoran Pueblo and Post-War Pueblo architecture, including stucco facades, high-vaulted ceilings, single-hung vertical windows, and metal hip roofs. The project includes three-bedroom, two-bathroom units on the western portion and one-bedroom, one-bathroom units on the eastern side, along with new sidewalks, steel carports, native landscaping, and paved driveways.
