Description | The new facility will have a processing capacity of 825 tons/day (300,000 tons/year), sufficient to process the waste of Barueri's 270,000 inhabitants and additional waste from surrounding municipalities corresponding to about 550,000 inhabitants. With an installed capacity of 19 MW and a 17.3 MW continuous power generation capacity (14.75MW net capacity) the WtE plant is forecasted to produce approximately 117 giga watt hours for export to the grid.The project will be developed on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. The contract period is 30 years. |
