Description

Description

BMAPs are frameworks for water quality restoration containing comprehensive solutions to achieve pollutant reductions established by Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs). They include permit limits on regulated facilities, urban and agricultural best management practices, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure, regional projects, and conservation programs. Developed with local stakeholders, BMAPs are legally enforceable and use an adaptive management approach to incrementally reduce pollutant loads while monitoring water quality and hydrologic dynamics.
