Description | The project involves the development of the first phase of the Basra Gate Terminal at the Port of Umm Qasr in Iraq. International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) signed a concession for 26 years with General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) to develop and operate three new berths, in addition to a 10-year agreement to redevelop the existing container terminal at Berth 20 at the Port of Umm Qasr. The concession was signed in April 2014 and the total cost of the first phase was $130 million.
