Description | This project entails the construction of a 50 MW floating solar PV plant at Batang Ai reservoir in state of Sarawak, Malaysia. It involves development of N-type bi-facial high efficiency PV module together with string inverter solution, as well as assembling of a MV power system, upgrade of a High-Voltage substation, and operation and maintenance services.The FPV system is planned to be integrated with the Batang Ai’s Hydroelectric Plant which creates value through hybridization of renewable technologies and optimisation of grid connection. Sponsor of the project is Trina Solar Company, which has won an auction hold by Sarawak Energy Berhad. The investment stands at $100 million.
