Description | The Batangas Clean Energy (BCE) project was a proposed 1,100-megawatt combined-cycle gas turbine power plant located in Batangas City, Philippines. It was planned to source natural gas from a nearby liquefied natural gas (LNG) import facility and have the flexibility to burn up to 50% clean hydrogen as supplemental fuel when commercially available. The project was situated on 24 hectares of onshore land and 15 hectares of foreshore area in Barangay Libjo and Barangay Malitam, Batangas City. The power plant was expected to supply 5% to 10% of the Luzon grid's power requirements. |
