Description | In August 2014, a private local company Beijing Sound Environment Industry Group signed an agreement to acquire Bazhong Best Environmental Protection Investment Company Limited, through which Sound Group acquired two BOT projects. One was the Bazong City Enyang District Wastewater Treatment Plant and the other was Bazhong City Enyang District Water Supply Plant Phase I. The capacity of the wastewater treatment plant (phase I) was 15000 tons per day. The total investment was RMB 27 million (US$ 4.39 million). Construction commenced in December 2014 and by March 24, 2015, RMB 15 million had been spent on the project. Sound had a 100% stake in the plant. The concession term was 30 years. |
