Description | The project will connect the Westcoast CN5 facility to BC Hydro’s Transmission Grid by completing approximately 25 kilometers of new transmission line from BC Hydro’s transmission system just outside the Portage Prairie Substation to the Westcoast N5 facility. The purpose of the project is to provide the infrastructure required to supply 30MW of electricity required to electrify one compressor at the compressor station - Westcoast N5 Facility. The project works required to support the electrification initiative include: Installation of a tap position to BC Hydro’s Transmission grid. Construction of approximately 25km of new 230KV transmission line; and, All related works. |
