Description | BC Hydro’s customer, NorthRiver Midstream, is a Canadian gas gathering and processing business with operations in Northeast British Columbia and Alberta. NorthRiver Midstream’s Dawson Processing Facility is currently using natural gas generated power and the customer is seeking to electrify this Facility by connecting to BC Hydro’s electricity grid. The BC Hydro Customer Connection Project: NorthRiver Midstream Dawson Processing Facility Electrification (the project) includes the following components: Construction of approximately 10 kilometres of transmission line from the Dawson Facility to the point of interconnection on an existing transmission line; Installation of engineered foundations for approximately 110 wooden pole structures to support the transmission line; Construction of access roads and workspaces; and, Vegetation clearing of about 132,100 m2, which includes clearing for the right-of-way and access roads. |
