B.C.'s Largest Commercial-Industrial Solar Panel Rooftop

Restoration Lands Inc. installed more than 4,600 high-efficiency solar panels atop its building in Lavington, the site of the former glass plant, creating the province's largest commercial-industrial rooftop solar installation. The 148,000 square feet solar array is expected to produce 1.7 gigawatt-hours of renewable electricity annually, enough to meet a quarter of the power needs of the mixed-use industrial park or power more than 150 new homes. The project was supported by BC Hydro's Load Displacement Program and includes a custom incentive of almost $875,000. A second phase is being considered to double capacity and add battery storage.
