The main project aim is to improve physical and emotional health of children. 6 project partners seek to develop health program for children's activity enhancement and to adapt it in the Lithuanian-Poland cross-border area kindergartens, to stimulate children's activity by offering them new interesting ways of sport activities in the kindergartens and to use NGOs knowledge and experience while developing sports activities provided to the children. The target group of the project is children from 20 kindergartens. Over 3400 children, including close to 900 children living in families at risk of poverty and exclusion, will take part in the project activities. Numerous sports activities will be implemented in Alytus, Varėna, Druskininkai, Lazdijai and Suwałki kindergartens. With help of specialists (dietitians, NGO representatives and psychologists) the health programme for children's physical activity enhancement will be developed and used in the mentioned 20 kindergartens. Later this program could be also replicated in others LT and PL kindergartens. For making sports activities more interesting to children 9 playgrounds at kindergartens will be constructed in Suwałki and 11 sets of outside and inside sports equipment will be purchased in Alytus, Varėna, Druskininkai and Lazdijai. 2 sport events with 800 and 500 children and 4 seminars for teachers will be organised.
