Beach Grove and Wedgewood Roof Replacements

The project is to replace roofs at Beach Grove Home and Wedgewood Manor. Provincially owned buildings. Construction of a new metal roof to mitigate the risk of building damage and service disruption. Over its lifetime, the roof structure has experienced numerous leaks causing internal damage and service disruption. The Beach Grove Home roof area to be replaced is approximatly 65,500 sq ft and Wedgewood Manor roof area is 34,000 sq ft. Both projects will involve stapping over existing asphalt, and installtion of 24 gauge heavy metal roofing material. The project also involves installation of starter strips, ridge caps, ice guards and anchor bolts. Maintenance issues and cost will be significantly reduced and this project will reduce the risk of service interruptions.
