The Ministry of Culture and Sports/General Secretariat of Sports of Greece has planned and will realize a big number of national activities (250+ during 2022 and 270+ during 2023), day and night events all around Greece, promoting sport at all ages, from children to third age and various social groups, such as refugees-immigrants and unaccompanied minors, people with disabilities, imprisoned, etc. Our main focus is to inspire all participants to be active every day and more productive at work, family, friends, psychology and everyday life. We will demonstrate and promote different sports, active sports (running, gymnastics, cycling, handball, martial arts, kick-boxing, equestrian, swimming, volleyball, beachvolley, fencing, sailing, hiking, bowling, surfing, cheerleading, etc.) and mind sports (chess, bridge). We will co-operate with other ministries, such as ministry of education, ministry of tourism, sport federations, sport clubs, local municipalities, prefectures, NGOs, social associations and scientific societies, as well as Olympians-Paralympians and elite athletes, in order to accomplish our goals which address to sport-educational-cultural sectors. Many events are attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports and the General Secretary of Sports who is also the President of BeActiveHellas Organizing Committee as well as our ambassadors who are elite athletes and prominent sport personalities. Our media sponsor is the national television ERT and the national radio ERA Sport. We promote our activities in our social media -facebook, instagram, twitter and youtube channel- (our account is beactivehellas). Our program is also published in the webpage of the General Secretariat of Sports www.gga.gov.gr.
