"The Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports/General Secretariat of Sports of Greece is planning to realize a big number of national activities (500+ during 2024 and 600+ during 2025), day and night events all around Greece, promoting sport at all ages, from children to third age and various social groups, such as refugees-immigrants, people with disabilities, imprisoned, etc. Our main focus is to inspire all participants to be active every day and more productive at work, family, friends, psychology and everyday life. We will demonstrate and promote physical activity and mind sports. We will co-operate with other ministries, such as Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism, sport federations, sport clubs, local municipalities, prefectures, NGOs, social associations and scientific societies, as well as Olympians-Paralympians and elite athletes, in order to accomplish our goals which, address to sport-olympic-educational-cultural-environmental sectors. Being the birth country of Olympic Games and having organized with great success the Olympic Games of Athens 2004, the European Week of Sport in Greece 2024 and all #BEACTIVE events will promote the Olympic Values, as described in the Olympic Chapter. For 2025, our events will be dedicated to Green Sport, by utilizing solar energy, green parks, green venues and recycling materials. We organize many sports events in the national stadiums and sports centres around Greece. Events will be attended by the Alternate Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the General Secretary of Sports who is also the President of BeActiveHellas Organizing Committee. Our ambassadors who are elite athletes and prominent sport personalities are our role models and their contribution to the success of the project is major and substantial.
