Description | A rural household south of Ogallala, Nebraska, has been connected to high-speed internet through the federal Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program. The connection was completed by Inventive, doing business as Vistabeam Internet, which received funding to serve 93 locations across Nebraska. The connection uses newer wireless broadband technology delivered wirelessly from a tower approximately 11 miles away, providing download speeds of about 825 Mbps and upload speeds of 229 Mbps. This project is part of ongoing efforts to expand broadband access to underserved rural areas in Nebraska. |
