Description | South African renewables developer and independent power producer Mulilo has reached financial close on a 380-MWdc solar photovoltaic project in the Western Cape, near the town of Beaufort West. The project will have a contracted export capacity of 250 MWac, connect to the Droerivier transmission substation, and is expected to generate around 818 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power roughly 345,000 households. Power from the facility will be sold to commercial and industrial customers under a multi-year power purchase agreement with aggregator and energy trader NOA. This is Mulilo's fourth project to secure financing in 2026, enabled by its Scandinavian shareholders and various funding, legal, and advisory partners. |
