Description | SSEN Transmission has decided to no longer progress with the Coachford substation, originally planned as part of the Beauly to Peterhead 400kV overhead line project due to engineering and construction challenges at the proposed site south of Keith. The project remains on track for 2030 delivery with three substations planned instead of four, and a new substation in the wider area is still needed by 2033 to meet long-term network needs. SSEN Transmission will identify an alternative location and engage with stakeholders for updates and feedback. |
