Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project

This project involves the reconstruction and widening of two miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike from milepost 12 to milepost 14 in North Sewickley Township, Homewood Borough, and Big Beaver Borough, Beaver County. The roadway will be widened from four lanes to six, including three 12-foot-wide travel lanes in each direction, a 26-foot median, and 12-foot-wide shoulders. The project includes the complete replacement of the mainline bridge over the Beaver River (WB-211, Milepost 13.21), shifting the mainline to the north to realign with the new bridge and avoid environmental and utility issues. The existing interchange will be reconfigured into a conventional interchange with SR 0018. The Beaver River mainline bridge replacement is currently under construction, with construction of the mainline roadway and bridges in progress, expected to be completed by December 2027. Upon completion, the project will enhance safety and mobility for travelers on this section of the interstate.
