Description | Biomass Electricity Company was planning the development of the 125MW BECO Biomass Plant, Prachinburi Province. The project was expected to generate 780,000 MWh annually to the national grid of Thailand. The project was to sell 90 MW to EGAT and 12.75MW to National Power Supply Company (NPS). All output generated before the siging of the EGAT PPA was to be sold to NPS. Project life was 25 years. The project was to use Eucalyptus Tree Residues and Tapioca Rhizome Residues, both produced offsite and otherwise be dumped to decay. Commissioning was expected for 2013. The operations permit was approved in December 2010. Start date of the activity was November 2010. The project was to use a debt to equity ratio of 55/45, with a WACC of 11.9%. Total investment was unknown.
