Description | The Bedminster Bridges project is a multi-million pound scheme to radically transform the major crossing over the River Avon in Bristol. It involves the removal of the roundabout and the creation of two separate two-way bridges: the western bridge for buses only and the eastern one for other traffic. Cyclists and scooters will be moved off the road onto separate cycle lanes. The project also includes the closure of the pedestrian subway under Redcliff Hill to create separate cycle lanes and plant new trees, as well as the widening and upgrading of a nearby pedestrian crossing. |
