Description | Community Government opened its new Landfill in September 2019. The landfill is designed with five cells, and Behchoko constructed only one cell. Behchoko proposes building one more cell, a brand new landfill office, weigh scale, controlled gate, and increasing the fence height to meet the guidelines. This project will support the cumulative disposal over a 20 year horizon of approximately 26,600 tonnes and with proper compaction and cover an estimated total of 105,000 cubic metres of airspace. |
