Description

Description	MTR Corporation (MTR) formed a joint venture, Beijing MTR Corporation Limited, with Beijing Infrastructure Investment Co. Ltd. (2%) and Beijing Capital Group (49%) for the investment, construction and operation of the 28.65 km Beijing Metro Line 4 in December 2004. 70% of the Line 4 total investment was funded by the Beijing Municipal Government for the civil works, trackwork and partial station-based E&M systems. PPP Joint Venture Company took up the remaining 30% that mainly covers the system-wide E&M works (US$ 577.16 million). In April 2006, MTR and its PPP partners formally signed the Concession Agreement with the Beijing Municipal Government for a term of 30 years operation after the target project completion by September 2009. Furthermore, PPP Joint Venture Company signed the Project Management Agreement with Beijing Metro Construction and Administration Corporation.
