In May of 2004, China Evergreen Environmental Corporation (CEEC), later renamed to China Water Group, Inc., signed a 25-year BOT project for the 20,000 tons of sewerage per day capacity Beijing Tianzhu Wastewater Treatment Plant (Phase 1).
To implement the contract, the Bei Jing Hao Tai Shi Yuan Water Purifying Company Limited was created as the project company in which CEEC took a 100% stake.

To implement the contract, the Bei Jing Hao Tai Shi Yuan Water Purifying Company Limited was created as the project company in which CEEC took a 100% stake. CEEC was a private wastewater engineering company based out of Guangzhou Province. Total investment was RMB 20 million (US$2.4 million).
