The Government of the Philippines (GoP) continues to support the wellbeing of low income households through its flagship safety net program, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Building on the lessons from the COVID-19 response, during which challenges in delivery systems were highlighted, GoP is committed to strengthening the system by investing in the use of the National ID for social protection delivery, strengthening digital payments and targeting systems, and advancing the digital agenda in DSWD. The operation supports GoP in this endeavor by providing financing for 4Ps cash grants, supporting key technical reform areas through performance based conditions (PBCs), and enabling investments in necessary goods and services.
