Description | The Bengaluru Business Corridor (formerly Peripheral Ring Road) is a 73-km corridor connecting Tumakuru Road to Hosur Road via Ballari Road and Old Madras Road. It aims to ease congestion on Bengaluru's arterial roads and improve connectivity. The project involves land acquisition of around 2,560 acres and includes compensation disputes with landowners. The corridor's design was revised from 100-metre width to 65 metres, with the remaining 35 metres used for compensating land losers and commercial plots. The project is financed through a Rs 27,000 crore loan from the Housing and Urban Development Corporation and has a new completion deadline set for 2029. |
