Bengaluru Data Centres Water Sustainability Initiative

planned

This project involves the development and operation of data centres in Bengaluru, which are large facilities housing servers and networking equipment requiring significant water for cooling. The project highlights the water consumption challenges in Bengaluru's water-stressed areas and the efforts by the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to pilot and scale ultra-pure water treatment plants to supply treated water to data centres, aiming to reduce freshwater and groundwater usage.
